A well-established and highly respected Irish group operating in various sectors is seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller to join its senior leadership team.
The Group has a strong market presence, a long trading history, and a reputation for delivering high-quality, technically complex solutions to major clients. With multiple operating entities across Ireland and internationally, this is a senior finance role with real influence on strategy, performance, and growth.
Reporting to the Board and senior leadership, the Group Financial Controller will be responsible for ensuring full financial governance, reporting, and performance management across multiple businesses and jurisdictions. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical expertise, commercial insight, and the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
Responsibilities:
Lead all financial reporting across the Group, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
Prepare consolidated Group accounts and present financial results to the Board.
Deliver high-quality management reporting with clear commercial insight.
Own the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes across the Group.
Partner with business unit leaders to align financial plans with operational objectives.
Standardise financial processes across entities and geographies.
Experience:
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with 7+ years' post-qualification experience.
Strong experience in multi-entity financial reporting
Proven leadership experience within a group or multi-business environment, ideally construction, building material, stock or engineering.
Commercially minded with strong business partnering capability.
Excellent communicator, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and non-finance leaders.
