Lending Manager - Direct Lending Team
Salary: €60,000 - €65,000
Department: Lending and Business Development
Reporting to: Chief Commercial Officer
The Role
The Lending Manager will play a key role in delivering annual lending targets through direct mortgage business. The successful candidate will manage new lending applications from enquiry through to completion, ensuring strong pipeline performance and exceptional customer service.
This role will involve building strong internal and external relationships, supporting introducers and stakeholders, and contributing to business growth through proactive lending management.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver annual new business lending targets through direct lending
- Manage quality, conversion, and delivery of new mortgage applications
- Progress cases from initial enquiry through to completion
- Monitor and manage pipeline performance to ensure service excellence
- Maintain strong relationships with internal departments (Credit, Finance, AML, etc.)
- Provide training and support to brokers, new staff, and existing team members
- Identify new business opportunities through introducers and direct leads
- Provide updates to senior management on market trends and competitor activity
- Support process improvement initiatives and special projects
Education and Experience
- Third level qualification or relevant industry qualification
- APA or QFA qualification required
- Minimum 5 years' experience in banking/lending/mortgage environments
- Strong knowledge of consumer lending practices across owner occupier and buy-to-let
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
