Senior Commercial Accountant - Renewable Energy

A well-backed and fast-growing renewable energy and infrastructure group is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join its expanding finance team. The business operates large-scale assets across Ireland and the UK and is currently in a significant growth phase, with major projects under construction and a strong future development pipeline.

Backed by private equity investment and institutional debt funding, this is an excellent opportunity to join a commercially sophisticated organisation at a pivotal stage of its growth.

Due to expansion over the past 12 months, the Group is adding a Senior Commercial Financial Accountant to its finance function. Reporting directly to the CFO, the role will take ownership of financial reporting for a defined portfolio of group entities, while also leading the annual audit and budgeting processes at Group level.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process across the Group.
• Maintain and update cashflow models to support working capital and funding requirements.

• Manage AP, AR, intercompany and related transactions.

• Own month-end and year-end close processes, from journals through to management accounts and variance analysis.

• Maintain ledger integrity, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany balances.

• Manage funding drawdowns and cash extraction processes as required.

Experience:

• Qualified accountant with circa 5 years' post-qualification experience.

• Strong analytical and communication skills.

• Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.

• High integrity, proactive approach, and collaborative mindset.
