Area Sales Manager – Global Sales

Due to continued global expansion, they are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Area Sales Manager – Global Sales to support international growth across multiple territories.
This is an excellent opportunity for a business or technically minded sales professional with experience operating in an international, industrial, or technical environment.
The Role
Reporting to the Global Distribution Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing, and executing international sales opportunities. The role focuses on growing global revenues, expanding distributor networks, and building long-term relationships with international customers and partners.
Key Responsibilities
International Sales Execution
Drive sales growth across assigned global markets through proactive lead generation, follow-up, and opportunity development.
Manage and develop assigned distributor and customer accounts.
Distributor & Customer Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with international distributors and key B2B customers.
Support account growth, repeat business, and customer retention.
New Market & Channel Development
Identify and support new distributor relationships and emerging market opportunities in line with global sales strategy.
Technical Sales Support
Support product demonstrations and technical discussions related to vision inspection, measurement, and industrial inspection solutions (training provided).
Engage confidently with engineering, quality, and manufacturing stakeholders.
Trade Shows & International Engagement
Attend international trade shows, distributor meetings, and customer visits to support lead generation and relationship development.
Internal Collaboration
Work closely with engineering, product, marketing, and operations teams to communicate customer requirements and market insights.
Sales Reporting & CRM Management
Maintain accurate pipeline, activity, and opportunity data within CRM systems.
Support forecasting, reporting, and structured sales reviews.
Market & Customer Feedback
Provide feedback on customer needs, competitor activity, and market trends to support product development and commercial decision-making.
Candidate Profile
Experience & Background
Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
3–5 years’ experience in a sales or business development role, ideally in an international or export-focused environment.
Experience selling technical or industrial products is highly desirable (e.g. vision inspection, automation, metrology, or measurement technologies).
Commercial & Technical Capability
Proven ability to develop and progress B2B sales opportunities.
Comfortable engaging with technical stakeholders.
Strong commercial awareness, including pricing, margin, and sales process understanding.
Experience using CRM systems and structured sales reporting tools.
Personal Attributes
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Well organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
Self-motivated, commercially minded, and keen to develop within an international sales environment.
Additional Information
Primarily office-based in County Kildare.
Occasional international travel required.
Foreign language skills are advantageous but not essential.
