Assistant Quality Assurance Manager - County Offaly.
In this role you will implement, maintain, and continuously improve the Food Safety and Quality Systems & ensure customer and legal requirements are met.
This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual to join a busy team. You must have previous food industry experience within a food manufacturing environment to be considered for this role.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the Management of the Food Safety & Quality and Culture Management System
2. Assist in the development and continuous improvement of site standards
3. Compliance with regulatory standards, legislation and liaising with DAFM officials.
4. Corrective & Preventative Action & Non-Conforming Product and Customer complaint Management
5. Measuring adherence to Customer Specifications.
6. Work with Quality and Production Management to ensure quality standards are maintained to the highest level.
7. Liaison with customers and assist in the management of the customer complaints system.
8. Implementation of measures and control procedures which are “user owned”.
9. Assist in the carrying out of site internal audits and working with customers during audits.
10. The achievement and maintenance of the BRCGS standard, the Bord Bia FPS and retailer and customer standards in terms of an independent third-party factory accreditation.
11. Assist in the management and implementation and challenge testing of the site’s traceability systems.
12. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of HACCP, TACCP & hygiene requirements.
13. Assist in the management of Laboratory and QA Activities & staff.
14. Assist in the management of Sanitation & Cleaning.
15. Assist in the management of supplier control and approval processes.
16. Assist in management of site services such as calibration and Pest Management.
17. Conduct internal and cross-site internal audits as per defined schedule.
18. Maintain standards as set out by the company in relation to quality, yields and specification.
19. Adjust tasks as required to suit company requirements based on customer specifications.
20. Assist in the communication of problems promptly through line management ensuring quick resolution.
Interested applicants should have:
• Degree in Food Science or equivalent.
• At least 2 years; experience in a similar quality role.
• Experience with BRCGS and FPS standards beneficial.
• Possess extensive knowledge regarding food safety systems and relevant regulations.
• Internal and supplier auditing experience beneficial.
• Good decision-making skills and ability to work on own initiative.
• Excellent communication skills
• Good IT skills.
