Construction Director- Cork
c. €160,000 – €170,000 + Executive Package (including bonuses, car allowance, LTIP, pension & more)
ICDS Group is seeking an experienced Construction Director to oversee a portfolio of high-profile building projects across Cork. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead large-scale developments, working with one of Ireland’s most established Tier 1 main contractors.
Our client has a strong track record delivering commercial, residential, healthcare, educational, and industrial projects nationwide, using modern construction methods and innovative technologies to ensure excellence across every stage of delivery.
As Construction Director, you will provide strategic leadership, overseeing the planning and execution of multiple building projects, while ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of large-scale construction projects from inception to handover
Manage senior project teams and site operations to ensure programme success
Oversee budgets, resources, and project KPIs (quality, safety, programme)
Engage with design teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure alignment
Drive innovation and support the adoption of digital construction tools (e.g. BIM)
Report directly to senior leadership on project and business performance
About You
Proven experience delivering complex, large-scale building projects in Ireland or the UK
Demonstrable leadership in a senior role- Project Director, Contracts Manager, or Construction Director
Strong knowledge of Irish construction regulations, health & safety, and quality control
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Experience working with Tier 1 or leading main contractors is desirable
