The successful candidate will be involved in tendering for all construction, electrical projects across Ieland and the UK.

Duties will include preparing and collating accurate, detailed, and timely tenders based on drawings, specifications, bills of quantities and other information to secure profitable work orders. This involves sourcing subcontractor and supplier quotations, analysing information for ambiguity, risk and qualification and seeking clarification where necessary.

Requirements:

• Experience required as an Electrical estimator in the Pharmaceutical, Industrial, Power Generation, Oil & Gas industry preferable.
• Salary negotiable depending on the experience of the candidate.
• Position to start immediately.
• Occasional travel between Ireland and UK will be part of the role.

Specific Objectives:

• Turning specifications and tender information into quotations.
• Ensure that tender documents are correct and technically accurate.
• Timely preparation of and submission of electrical tenders.
• Attend site visits and client briefings.
• Work closely with clients and other colleagues to review tenders and handovers.
• Finalisation of all tender bids and to attend pre-order meetings to secure contracts and hand over to Project Managers.
• Liaising with customers to review, interpret, and understand customer electrical specifications/requirements.
• Maintain electrical specification confirmations for all contracts, identifying and costing for upcharges and requesting concessions.
• Developing key relationships with supply chain and with customers / specifies.

Skills Required 

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as an Estimator or Electrical Engineer performing an Estimator role with well-established general contractor.
• Strong analytical, mathematical and general IT skills.
• A proven track record.
