Contracts Manager’s – Data Centre (Kildare) & Hotel Project (Dublin City Centre)
A leading Tier 1 main contractor with a strong reputation for delivering large-scale, complex projects across Ireland and Europe, who have a diverse project portfolio spanning commercial, industrial, data centre, healthcare, and hospitality sectors, the company is recognised for its commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainable construction practices.
Due to continued growth and expansion, they are now seeking experienced Contracts Managers to join their dynamic team — one to lead a high-value Data Centre project in Kildare, and another to oversee a prestigious Hotel development in Dublin City Centre.
These are key leadership roles offering the opportunity to manage flagship projects with significant scope, complexity, and visibility within the organisation.
Role Overview
The Contracts Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of major construction projects, ensuring that all works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will provide strong leadership to site teams, manage project resources, maintain client relationships, and oversee commercial, contractual, and technical aspects throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the delivery of multiple or large-scale projects from inception to completion.
- Take full responsibility for overall project performance and delivery outcomes.
- Plan, coordinate, and track project progress, ensuring alignment with programme and budget.
- Oversee and coordinate the work of design teams, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Drive BIM implementation and ensure best practices in digital construction.
- Resource planning – aligning staff and subcontractors to meet project demands.
- Lead meetings with clients, subcontractors, and project teams, ensuring clear communication and accountability.
- Manage Mechanical & Electrical contractors and other specialist subcontractors.
- Identify and mitigate project risks; implement lean construction and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to site and project management teams.
- Prepare and deliver regular progress and performance reports.
Key Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent).
- Membership of a recognised professional body (e.g. Engineers Ireland, CIOB, ICE).
- Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience in a Contracts Management or Senior Project Management role.
- Proven track record in delivering complex, high-value projects on time and within budget.
- Strong technical knowledge with the ability to challenge design decisions and ensure best practice.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Navisworks.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- Experience managing M&E coordination on large-scale projects is highly desirable.
