The Role & Purpose

This is an exciting temporary role (12-month contract) which involves working across the entire organisation and the day-to-day running of a busy HR Department. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing administrative support within a fast-paced HR Office.

You will provide an excellent applicant and employee experience by assisting with the coordination and administration throughout the different stages of the recruitment process across the company’s operations.

This is an entry-level role which is administratively focused, with lots of opportunity to learn, develop, and grow your career.

The HR Team includes HR processes, engagement, training and payroll.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Employee Relations
  • Preparing letters of communication to employees in accordance with company values, policies, and procedures.
  • Note taking in meetings.

Performance Management

  • Support Managers in their adherence to the performance management process, ensuring reviews, probations and performance are conducted in line with company policy.
  • Updating and maintaining leave trackers daily in order for the production team to manage absence levels effectively.
  • Monitoring time and attendance and compliance.
  • Supporting reward and recognition programmes.

Recruitment & Employee Lifecycle

  • Support the business to ensure that key resources are recruited, including screening CVs, scheduling and assisting in interviewing candidates and completing reference checks.
  • Responsible for issuing legal documentation such as contracts of employment, calculation of legal entitlements such as annual leave entitlements and processing cessation documents.
  • Support the onboarding process.
  • Processing all personal details and documentation of new recruits.

Systems & Administration

  • Management of leave entitlements to include sick leave, holidays, maternity, paternity and parent's leave.
  • Assisting with weekly payroll administration to ensure delivery of an accurate payroll run with minimal queries.
  • Maintain staff and employee files in line with Data Protection Legislation.
  • General HR Administration.
  • Assisting with Training Administration.
  • Occupational Health & Wellbeing
  • Organisation of weekly on-site Occupational Health appointments.
  • Supporting the HR team with wellbeing programmes and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1–2 years' HR Administration or other administrative and people-facing experience.
  • Third-level qualification in Human Resources or CIPD qualified.
  • Computer literate, specifically proficiency in MS Office applications including MS Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • High standards of accuracy and close attention to detail.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills in order to meet timescales.
  • Experience working in a busy environment.
