Inventory and Warehouse Manager – County Cavan
We are currently seeking an experienced Inventory and Warehouse Manager to lead and optimise our warehousing and inventory operations at a busy manufacturing site in County Cavan. This role plays a critical part in ensuring materials and components are in the right place, at the right time, in the right quantity, to support efficient production and customer satisfaction.
Working closely with the wider supply chain, production, logistics, and procurement teams, you will be responsible for planning and overseeing inventory control processes, improving stock accuracy, and driving a high-performing warehouse team.
Key Responsibilities
Team Management & Leadership
Lead and develop the warehouse team through the Warehouse Team Leader.
Establish standardised work routines and enforce compliance.
Develop and maintain training programs to support upskilling and efficiency.
Inventory Management
Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production and customer demand.
Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
Monitor Kanban stock levels and reorder points.
Minimise waste, stockouts, and obsolete inventory.
Process & Systems
Manage and improve inventory control systems, ideally using ERP platforms (e.g. SAP).
Coordinate closely with suppliers and logistics providers to manage incoming stock.
Ensure inventory data is up to date, accurate, and actionable.
Monitor and report on KPIs relating to stock, fulfilment, and team performance.
Operational & Cost Efficiency
Streamline inventory and warehouse processes to drive cost reduction and productivity.
Support lean initiatives and implement continuous improvement projects.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
Education:
Degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
2–5 years of experience in inventory, supply chain, or warehouse operations in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
Demonstrated experience with stock control systems and ERP/WMS software.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong working knowledge of inventory systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
Familiarity with lean practices, Kanban systems, or just-in-time inventory.
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Analytical approach to forecasting, problem-solving, and decision-making.
Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
