We are currently seeking an experienced Inventory and Warehouse Manager to lead and optimise our warehousing and inventory operations at a busy manufacturing site in County Cavan. This role plays a critical part in ensuring materials and components are in the right place, at the right time, in the right quantity, to support efficient production and customer satisfaction.

Working closely with the wider supply chain, production, logistics, and procurement teams, you will be responsible for planning and overseeing inventory control processes, improving stock accuracy, and driving a high-performing warehouse team.

Key Responsibilities

Team Management & Leadership

  • Lead and develop the warehouse team through the Warehouse Team Leader.

  • Develop and maintain training programs to support upskilling and efficiency.

Inventory Management

  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production and customer demand.

  • Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.

  • Monitor Kanban stock levels and reorder points.

  • Minimise waste, stockouts, and obsolete inventory.

Process & Systems

  • Manage and improve inventory control systems, ideally using ERP platforms (e.g. SAP).

  • Coordinate closely with suppliers and logistics providers to manage incoming stock.

  • Ensure inventory data is up to date, accurate, and actionable.

  • Monitor and report on KPIs relating to stock, fulfilment, and team performance.

Operational & Cost Efficiency

  • Streamline inventory and warehouse processes to drive cost reduction and productivity.

  • Support lean initiatives and implement continuous improvement projects.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

Education:

  • Degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 2–5 years of experience in inventory, supply chain, or warehouse operations in a manufacturing or logistics environment.

  • Demonstrated experience with stock control systems and ERP/WMS software.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong working knowledge of inventory systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).

  • Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.

  • Familiarity with lean practices, Kanban systems, or just-in-time inventory.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

  • Analytical approach to forecasting, problem-solving, and decision-making.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a dynamic and evolving supply chain function in an established manufacturing operation.

  • Influence and implement best practices in warehousing and inventory performance.

  • Work alongside a collaborative and supportive team.

  • Competitive salary and benefits on offer.

If you are a detail-oriented inventory professional with strong leadership and operational expertise, and you're looking for your next opportunity in a fast-paced, growth-oriented business – we’d love to hear from you.
