A well-established Irish main contractor is currently seeking a Junior Engineer to join their team on a new nursing home project based in Arklow, Co. Wicklow. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate or early-career engineer to gain hands-on site experience on a live project, working closely with an experienced engineering and site management team.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Engineer and Site Management team, the Junior Engineer will assist with the day-to-day engineering activities on site.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with setting out, levelling and surveying works
• Supporting the Senior Engineer with site engineering duties
• Ensuring works are carried out in line with drawings, specifications and quality standards
• Liaising with subcontractors and site teams
• Maintaining site records, drawings and QA documentation
• Assisting with inspections and ensuring health & safety compliance

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related construction discipline
• 1–3 years’ experience in a site-based engineering role (graduates encouraged to apply)
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Full driving licence preferred
