Logistics Manager - North Dublin.

A position has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced person to manage the logistics function of this pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This is a senior position within the Management Team.

Key responsibilities:

• Quantify, procure, and schedule deliveries of raw materials and packaging for timely delivery to meet the Production Plan

• Management of goods (raw materials, intermediates, and finished products) on company ERP system including RM deliveries, issuing/returns to/from production, and FP shipments

• Management of daily issuing for Production on company ERP system, including daily Batch Production Declarations and returns on ERP system, picking of raw materials and printing of bills of materials with Batch Manufacturing Instructions;

• Management of on-site and off-site raw material and Finished Product storage ensuring GMP and EHS compliance

• Management and disposal of all waste generated by the site (bulk, packaged and skip)

• Management of customer orders including scheduling, picking, packing and transportation (road/sea and air freight).

• Sourcing of new raw materials suppliers and liaising with QA/QC departments to facilitate supplier/raw material qualification.

• Management of warehousing personnel and activities on and off site in accordance with GMP and other obligations.

• Supervision of warehouse and other logistics staff ensuring that they are properly trained and motivated for achievement of company targets.

Core aspects of role:

To ensure that activities within the Logistics department are carried out accurately, timely and within cost.

To ensure compliance with GMP's for all relevant activities in Logistics especially relating to maintenance of SOP's, training, materials control and tracking systems.

To ensure that suitable suppliers and outsourced partners for warehousing are sourced, monitored and appropriately managed.

To ensure that materials purchasing and stock records are maintained up to date and accurate at all times.

To ensure that upgrades/projects are successfully executed to budget and within the required timeframe.

Management of staff to achieve consistently high performance and motivation

Interested applicants should have:

Ideally a relevant third level degree qualification. DGSA certification would be advantageous although not essential. A knowledge of chemicals would also be an advantage.

Minimum of five years’ experience in a senior logistics role in a manufacturing environment.
