Maintenance Technician - Dublin 15.
In this role you will provide an effective and efficient service in carrying out maintenance duties on mechanical, electrical, PLC and instrumentation systems. As such you will be a practical, flexible, and solutions-oriented professional with hands-on experience in equipment maintenance and a proactive approach to reliability, safety standards, GMP and work etiquette set out by the company.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Providing reactive and planned maintenance across the site.
• Troubleshooting and repairing plant and equipment.
• Carrying out diagnostics and basic programming on equipment.
• Troubleshooting PLC's (Allen Bradley, Siemens, GE, Schneider).
• Supporting facilities equipment such as HVAC, compressed air, and refrigeration.
• Executing preventive maintenance and supporting continuous improvement.
• Monitoring equipment performance and recommending improvements.
In carrying out the above, the successful candidate will perform the following duties:
• Workshop practices – grinding, drilling etc.
• Pipework – working on flanged, screwed and welded pipe systems.
• Pumps and motors – seal changes, general repairs
• Electrical/Automation work – troubleshooting, installation and earth checks etc.
• Instrumentation – calibration.
• Documentation – all maintenance carried out to be recorded accurately
In addition, Maintenance Technicians will assist in emergency response operations such as:-
• Fire fighting
• Search and Rescue
• Spillage control
Interested applicants should have:
• A relevant trade qualification (Electrician, Fitter, or Engineering Degree).
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a maintenance technician role in a Manufacturing Environment - preferably Food/Pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience in motor control systems, pneumatics, temperature control, and safety systems.
• Be proficient in computer-based systems e-mail/word/excel etc.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent awareness and experience in relation to Quality and Health, Environment and Safety.
• Work well in a team environment while at the same time have the ability to work on one’s own initiative
• Good organisational and communication skills
It is an advantage to have:
Experience in carrying out calibrations
Experience working within an ATEX environment
Familiarity with CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems).
