Procurement Contract Specialist - North Dublin.

Our client seeks a Procurement Contract Specialist with a blend of operational practicality on ascertaining value for money on non-material purchases, and a pragmatic approach to the process of soliciting information/pricing through to contract establishment and monitoring performance thereafter.

Key tasks and responsibilities:
• Manage RFI/Q/P's and tenders for various CAPEX projects, contract renewals, and general spend in the areas of non-material expenditure regarding facilities, services, freight etc.
• Structure and maintain an AVL for non-material purchases.
• Drive value for money cost initiatives that improve site OPEX costs
• Propose use of relevant e-tendering tools/digital procurement tools for appropriate contractual purchases.
• Provide relevant commercial support to buyer/purchasing functions and assist in negotiations on major spend projects.
• Lead major cross-functional projects on behalf of Operational Procurement
• Participate in continuous improvements across both indirect and direct (Procurement) supply chain requirements
• Manage contract compliance for the site regarding all vendors

Interested applicants should have:
• Level 8 qualification in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline
• A qualification in contract law or a distinct understanding of same in an operational context
• Minimum of 5 years' relevant professional working experience directly in the area of procurement/indirect procurement/vendor negotiations
• Experience in negotiating commercial contracts and tenders including CAPEX and OPEX
• Team player, cable of building strong and influential peer relationships.
• Solid working knowledge of Procurement tools, processes, KPIs and reporting, including use of digital tools
• Developed problem solving skills
• Financially astute regarding impact of negotiated decisions / justification for decision
• Analytical, with an ability to use data to endorse decision making.
• Ability to interact and influence supplier behaviour and manage escalations.
• Excellent oral communication, business writing and presentation skills.
• Skilled negotiator with a wider perspective on the value of non-monetary terms
