Project Engineers – Renewable Energy - County Cavan

We are seeking ambitious and skilled Project Engineers with a background in electrical or mechanical engineering to join a forward-thinking team focused on renewable energy and sustainability initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of green technology projects, contributing to the development and execution of clean energy systems across a range of technologies including solar, wind, and hydrogen.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Lead and support the design of renewable energy systems, collaborating with internal and external teams to develop tailored solutions.
- Project Management: Manage full project lifecycles—from planning through to commissioning—ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
- Technical Expertise: Offer hands-on electrical and mechanical engineering support throughout project phases, troubleshooting as needed.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all project activities meet required environmental, health, and safety standards and engineering best practices.
- Documentation & Reporting: Produce and manage accurate technical documentation, specifications, and project status reports.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with design teams, contractors, and suppliers to integrate renewable solutions into new and existing developments.
- Innovation & Improvement: Keep informed of emerging technologies and trends in the renewable energy sector, suggesting improvements and efficiencies.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Master’s degree is an advantage).
- Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in renewable energy projects or sustainability-focused engineering roles.
- Technical Proficiency: Competency in CAD software, renewable energy modelling tools, and project management systems.
- Certifications: Additional qualifications in renewable energy systems or project management (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) are desirable.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of conveying technical detail to varied audiences.
- Problem Solving: Analytical thinker with a proactive mindset and strong attention to detail.
- Teamwork: A collaborative approach with the ability to work across departments and drive project momentum.
