Quality Engineer – County Cavan

Location: County Cavan
Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team in County Cavan. This is an exciting opportunity to work across all areas of a complex manufacturing environment, gaining a deep understanding of processes, systems, and product quality.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and improving our quality management systems, driving continuous improvement, and supporting operational excellence. Comprehensive training and development will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain quality documentation including work instructions, procedures, and records within ISO management systems.

  • Conduct internal audits and support external audit processes.

  • Review and enhance systems and processes to maintain compliance and improve performance.

  • Work closely with production teams to ensure quality protocols are followed and documentation is accurate.

  • Support inspection and testing of products, components, and processes against predefined standards.

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements across the manufacturing facility.

  • Analyse quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

  • Conduct statistical analysis of manufacturing data and prepare quality reports for management.

  • Liaise with external partners, including suppliers and customers, on quality matters.

  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methodologies.

Requirements

  • Degree in Quality, Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • 2–3 years’ industrial experience in a similar quality or manufacturing role.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and observational skills.

  • Excellent organisational and analytical abilities.

  • Proactive problem-solver with a commitment to maintaining high standards.

  • Team-oriented, dependable, and capable of working on own initiative.
