Quality Manager - County Louth.
Job Purpose:
• Ensuring that all necessary sampling, testing, result recording and subsequent data management takes place on time and to the highest standard.
• People management and leadership skills including direct management of the laboratory team.
• Management of outsourced testing of products both internal and external
• Responsible for calibrating laboratory equipment.
• Maintain product conformity to the relevant standards I.S EN 197 and I.S EN 15167.
• Responsible for organising service visits from equipment suppliers to service machines.
• Maintain ISO 9001 quality management system.
• Responsible for compiling the weekly quality report.
• Assist in troubleshooting process/chemical issues.
• Responsible for inventory of spare parts and consumables for the laboratory.
Interested applicants should possess:
A third level chemistry qualification or be able to demonstrate considerable knowledge & experience of laboratory operations
At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role within a manufacturing working environment
Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
Proven technical skills and strong commercial acumen
Strong attention to detail and capable of working on your own initiative whilst meeting production deadlines
Awareness of Health and Safety in heavy industry
Ideally the candidate will have knowledge of XRF and XRD analytical techniques and machinery operation.
