You will inherit a structured commercial team including QS and estimating support across Ireland and international locations.

Role Overview

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will lead the commercial function across multiple projects, ensuring robust financial control, contractual compliance, and optimal commercial performance. • Prepare, manage, and monitor project budgets in coordination with delivery teams
  • Provide regular commercial reporting, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Negotiate and manage contract terms with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Oversee cost planning, valuations, forecasting, and financial reporting across project lifecycles
  • Ensure strict compliance with contractual obligations and commercial governance standards
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to improve margins and drive revenue growth
  • Support procurement strategy, tender evaluation, and bid submissions
  • Manage project cash flow, including invoicing, valuations, and payment cycles
  • Identify and manage commercial and contractual risks and opportunities
  • Conduct cost analysis, value engineering, and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Review subcontractor agreements and ensure alignment with project objectives
  • Monitor project expenditure, reporting variances and implementing cost controls
  • Conduct site visits to verify progress and commercial accuracy
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure financial alignment
  • Provide commercial input to operational planning and execution strategies
  • Report performance metrics and financial updates to senior stakeholders and board level

Requirements

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Construction Management, or related discipline
  • Proven experience in a Senior QS or Commercial Management role within construction, engineering, or infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of contract law and commercial governance frameworks
  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting
  • Strong negotiation skills with subcontractor and client-facing experience
  • Commercially astute with a strategic mindset and strong analytical ability
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at senior level
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across different jurisdictions
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel across Europe on an occasional basis
  • Full driving licence and eligibility to work across Europe

What’s on Offer

  • Opportunity to join a fast-growing, internationally active infrastructure group
  • Exposure to large-scale data centre and critical infrastructure projects across Europe
  • Strong commercial support structure with QS, estimating, and international teams
  • Reporting directly to senior leadership and board-level stakeholders
  • Based in a well-established Irish HQ with flexible Dublin office option
