Service Engineer – Commercial Catering equipment.
Our client is a long-established provider of commercial catering solutions, with many years of experience in installation, service, and maintenance across Ireland. The business supports a broad range of clients and is recognised within the commercial catering equipment sector for landmark projects, technical capability, and responsive service delivery.
Role Overview:
This is a field-based engineering role focused on the installation, maintenance, service, and repair of commercial catering equipment. The engineer will work across a wide variety of electrical, gas, and refrigeration equipment and will be expected to deliver a high standard of technical work and customer service.
Location:
• This is a field-based role covering the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland
• Interested applicants may be based in a range of locations depending on operational needs
Key Responsibilities:
• Install and commission new commercial catering equipment
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance
• Service and repair existing commercial catering equipment
• Service and repair refrigeration equipment where applicable
• Diagnose electrical, gas, refrigeration, and mechanical faults
• Identify root causes and implement effective technical solutions
• Complete service reports promptly and accurately following each job
• Participate in the out-of-hours and on-call support rota
Interested applicants should have:
• Electrical qualification or strong electrical background, or refrigeration, HVAC, gas, or other.
• Experience in field service, maintenance, or a comparable technical role
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving ability
• Full clean driving licence
• Ability to work independently and use initiative
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Willingness to attend ongoing training and travel as required
It is an advantage (not essential) to have experience of:
• Commercial catering equipment
• Refrigeration experience or HVAC background
• Gas qualifications or clear willingness to train into gas
• Basic plumbing knowledge
• Safe Pass or equivalent site access certification
• CSR or similar accreditation
Training and Development:
The role is well suited to candidates who have a strong technical base and want to broaden into a more specialist commercial catering engineering position.
