WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
InterTradeIreland is seeking to appoint a Director of Enterprise Development to join our Senior Leadership Team which also includes the CEO, the Director of Strategy, the Director of Trade and the Director of Corporate Services.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role you will be a key contributor to all decisions regarding the strategic direction of the organisation, providing input into our short-term and long-term future priorities and plans. You will be responsible for contributing to the development and delivery of the Corporate Strategy and annual Business Plans.
You will lead on key strategic engagements as well as the development of all island strategic projects driving Enterprise Growth, Collaborative Innovation, All Island Clustering, Entrepreneurship and Investor Readiness.
The Director of Enterprise Development will attend InterTradeIreland monthly Board meetings, Departmental Oversight & Liaison meetings and North South Ministerial Council meetings as required.
The Director of Enterprise Development leads the Innovation and Entrepreneurship team, supported by two Assistant Directors and currently has overall responsibility for a team of 20 staff and a number of external specialist contractors.

THE IDEAL PERSON WILL HAVE:
- A degree qualification or equivalent third level professional qualification.
- A minimum of 3 years senior management experience working in an economic or business development role.
- A strong capacity for strategic thinking, with experience in leading or significantly contributing to the development of an economic or enterprise growth strategy that underpins the direction of an organisation.
- Proven experience of developing strategy initiatives or programmes in response to business needs, thus demonstrating a high level of commercial awareness.
