A Procurement Administrator is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Galway based client on a 6-12 Months Contractor Basis. Administrative professional with 3-5 years experience. Ideally with a background in purchasing or materials management, the Procurement Administrator will support the Category Management team with critical procurement processes. You will be highly organized, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
THE ROLE:
- Enter supplier details are accurately maintained within systems
- Support ad-hoc Procurement reporting requirements
- Develop vendor contracts, ensuring timely issuance
- Ensure adherence to the Company's procurement policies and procedures
- Support with comparison of available goods with industry trends to determine appropriate pricing
- Engage with manufacturers & vendors to understand product lifecycles, end of life and new products
- Actively ensure accurate prices, including budget prices exist for all live commodities within the company
- Create and maintain price sheet for all channels
- Support negotiations and supplier selection through high-level vendor assessment
- Create PO’s as required
- Scribe for all quarterly reviews and key supplier meetings
- Ensure creation of supplier profiles for all SRM suppliers
REQUIREMENTS:
- Working knowledge of MS Office applications and functional knowledge of SAP or similar MRP programs
- Must be detail oriented, with good interpersonal skills and an ability to work in a team environment
- 3—5 years procurement/purchasing/sourcing experience preferred
- Professional communication; both verbal and written are required
