Position: Chef de Partie
Location: La Caverna Restaurant, 12 Fownes Street Upper, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, Ireland
Salary: €34,000 per year gross (based on 39 hours/week)
Employment Type: Full-time, permanent
Working Hours: 39 hours per week (rostered across weekdays, weekends, and public holidays)
About Us:
La Caverna Restaurant is a long-established, family-run Italian restaurant located in the heart of Temple Bar, Dublin. Known for its warm atmosphere, historic cellars, and high-quality food, we are now seeking an experienced and motivated Chef de Partie to join our passionate kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present dishes per our quality and presentation standards
- Take responsibility for a specific section of the kitchen
- Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily operations
- Ensure food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards are strictly followed (HACCP compliant)
- Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff
- Manage stock and contribute to menu development as required
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a busy kitchen
- A culinary qualification is preferred but not essential
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- A strong passion for food, attention to detail, and dedication to high standards
