Job Description & Skills Required
The Learning and Development (EL&D) Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs that enhance employee skills, support operational excellence, and strengthen McDonald’s service culture. Using strong foundations in education, communication, and curriculum design, the L&D Manager ensures that training materials and delivery methods are engaging, effective, and aligned with company standards. Qualifications: Degree in Education or Related Field. Key Responsibilities : 1. Training Program Design & Development * Develop structured training programs, modules, and learning materials for store crew, managers, and support teams. * Apply educational principles lesson planning, sequencing, and learner-centered strategies—to create clear and engaging training content. 2. Facilitation & Delivery * Conduct training sessions, workshops, and coaching sessions for new hires and existing employees. * Use teaching methods to explain concepts clearly, encourage participation, and ensure comprehension. * Demonstrate strong communication skills to support trainees with varying learning styles. 3. Training Needs Assessment * Coordinate with store operations to identify skills gaps and performance challenges. * Recommend training solutions based on data, observation, and employee feedback. * Support continuous improvement by monitoring trends in service quality, customer satisfaction, and operational results. 4. Performance Evaluation & Reporting * Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, on-the-job performance reviews, and measurable KPIs. * Maintain documentation of training progress, completion, and competency results. * Provide insights and recommendations to leadership regarding employee development. 5. Talent Development & Leadership Support * Support manager development programs and leadership training tracks. * Identify high-potential employees and help prepare them for promotion through targeted learning pathways. * Reinforce McDonald’s culture, values, and service standards in all learning activities.
