Job Description & Skills Required

Calgary Trading Ltd t/a McDonald’s Restaurant Barronstrand Street is now hiring Assistant Restaurant Managers with salary of €34,000, based on 39 hours per week, at our restaurants in Waterford. Candidates should have a recognised relevant third level qualification in hospitality management or equivalent and 5 years’ experience in the role. This role involves the following responsibilities:

·       Business Planning

·        Jointly accountable for execution of restaurant business plan to grow sales and guest counts by increasing visits and adding new customers

·        Support Business Manager with establishing community relations

·       Contribute to the plan and execution of monthly P&L

·       Monitor progress on targets and management goals

·       Attend and participate in weekly manager’s meetings

·       Share best practice and knowledge with other Assistant Managers Food Safety

·       Verify that food safety daily/monthly calibrations and checklists are completed Internal Communication

·        Oversee proper execution of promotions to maximise sales building potential

·       Manage internal communication channels and crew messaging Inventory Management

·       Verify order accuracy to ensure stock availability and food cost controls

·        Complete accurate inventories People Practices

·       Create a positive, dynamic and inclusive working environment

·       Manage the scheduling of all crew; ensure good scheduling practices and principles are followed

·       Contribute to crew and manager staffing level plan, appropriate for the restaurant’s sales and guest count growth

·       Oversee recruitment process ensuring high quality applicants and contribute to hiring decisions

·       Manage development and selection of Crew Trainers and Shift Managers

·        Drive employee engagement; coordinate survey, develop and implement action plans

·       Recognise and reward the right behaviours and restaurant goals and accomplishments

·        Complete performance reviews for assigned managers and crew

·       Verify compliance with all McDonald’s policies and employment laws

·        Act promptly and fairly on all employee disciplinary/performance concerns

·       Take pride in personal appearance and that of your team Planned & Daily Maintenance

·       Verify that all Planned Maintenance and cleaning tasks are scheduled and completed

·       Troubleshoot Planned Maintenance emergencies Safety and Security

·        Follow up completion of monthly Safety Audits and ensure problems are addressed

·       Follow up on compliance with security and cash control procedures Scheduling

·       Create and post crew schedule that is focused on growing guest counts, capturing customer responsibilities Training

·       Review training needs for crew and managers and follow up execution

·       Support management development, coaching, follow-up and verifications

·        Take responsibility for own IDP goals and complete agreed training and development.
