The System Administrator (AssestWise) is responsible for implementing and maintaining Bentley Systems AssetWise system, with the ALIM module, a comprehensive software solution for managing records/content throughout the project lifecycle, including asset information (ALIM). The role holder is required to manage the complex configurations of MetroLink as well as ongoing maintenance to meet the needs of MetroLink’s functions and contractors in the fast-paced business. The Systems Administrator is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security and optimal performance of our asset management infrastructure.

Principal Accountabilities

Meet customer expectations through resolving incidents within service level agreements

• Maintain Metrolink’s AssetWise (ALIM) System –configuration, and customisation to meet the specific needs of our projects and clients. • Liaise and collaborate with the ProjectWise system platform host and vendor Bentley Systems.

• Work with the system configurator and key stakeholders to implement efficient workflows within AssetWise (ALIM), ensuring seamless data and document management.

• Conduct user training and support to end-users on AssetWise best practices, tools, and functionalities.

• Assist with data governance to develop and enforce data standards, naming conventions, and security protocols to maintain data integrity and compliance with relevant industry standards including ISO19650.

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of Bentley Applications support and AssetWise (ALIM) configurations, processes, and user guidelines.

• Stay up to date with industry trends and technology advancements to recommend and implement enhancements to our AssetWise (ALIM) setup.

• Collaborate with the Information Technology (IT), Application support, and Bentley teams on software upgrades and deployments.

• Provide AssetWise (ALIM) content quality reporting.

• Support MetroLink functions and delivery teams with managing users and user access, and user audits and reporting.

• Promote an equitable, inclusive and collaborative workplace.

• Perform additional tasks, activities or other duties as may be required or assigned as part of the role as appropriate to the grade. All the divisions within TII have inter-dependent responsibilities and close cooperation, collaboration and teamwork are required across the whole organisation to meet tight deadlines.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Character

Each candidate must be of good character.

Health

A candidate for and any person holding the role must be fully competent and capable of undertaking duties attached to the role and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.


Experience, Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate the key competencies for a Higher Executive Officer position as outlined in Appendix 1, as well as the following job-specific requirements:

Experience:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience with AssetWise administration.

• 3+ years working on multidiscipline projects or infrastructure programmes is preferrable.

• Experience working in a highly collaborative environment, with experience engaging with staff at all levels of the business as well as key project personnel externally.

• Technical experience in the Design, Implementation, Support and Management of Bentley AssetWise as well as the integration of ALIM and the asset information schema.

• A background within a project delivery organisation is desirable.

• Experience with IT service delivery workflows.

• Experience with support work management systems e.g., ServiceNow.

• Experience working with 3rd party software suppliers. 

Skills:

• Ability to engage with clients and key Stakeholders to build configurations and fix technical issues.

• A logical approach to problem-solving.

• Exceptional customer service attitude.

• The ability to self-prioritise and manage customer expectations.

• Understanding of formal Incident management process and delivery to Service Level Agreements.

• Organised and an excellent communicator, with the ability to deal with delivering to high pressure client deadlines.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, experience engaging with project stakeholders, and the ability to work independently.

• An organised and systematic approach to work is a must.

• Ability to apply AssetWise configuration, user management, development and implementation for a project, organisation, or client.

• Understanding of the relationship between application performance and the underlying infrastructure.


Formal Education Qualifications:

Third Level Qualification (Level 7) degree in Computer science, Information system, Engineering or an equivalent degree.
