You will spearhead projects that improve how we work, partner across the business and IT, and champion best practices that make our systems more effective, user-friendly and future-ready.
Bring energy, knowledge, innovation to carry out the following:
- Lead digital projects: Identify, evaluate, and implement enterprise-level Environmental Health and Safety digital solutions, including replacing systems at end of life and staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Partner with information technology: Build strong relationships to ensure smooth implementation, sustainment, and continuous improvement of EHS systems.
- Improve adoption and skills: Use data to spot user skill gaps and design targeted training and engagement to boost system adoption and performance.
- Drive continuous improvement: Develop and refine procedures, guidelines, and training to keep EHS digital systems optimized and aligned with best practices.
- Build business cases: Quantify benefits and return on investment to secure resources and stakeholder support for enhancements and new solutions.
- Coach leaders: Enable leaders across functions to successfully adopt and use digital EHS solutions.
- Communicate and present: Create clear, compelling presentations and updates for senior management and stakeholders.
- Manage projects: Serve as project manager or key team member for initiatives requiring EHS subject matter expertise and systems support.
- Track metrics: Monitor compliance, performance metrics, and feedback; lead the consolidation of company-wide EHS metrics to inform decision-making.
- Collaborate externally: Engage with peer organizations to learn from the market and identify future opportunities in EHS digital systems.
- Lead the team: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of EHS professionals, fostering an inclusive, growth-oriented environment.
What skills you will need:
In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:
- Bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental studies, engineering, or a related science field
- 5-7 years of applied professional experience in Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, project management or similar related areas.
- Strong project management skills
- Experience managing and improving EHS digital systems
- Proven people leadership and talent development experience
- Analytical problem solver with experience building and managing EHS programs, training, and systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working with site leaders and cross-functional partners
- Ability to set department goals and deliver strategies
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence without formal authority across global, multi-functional teams
- Strategic thinker who acts decisively to translate ideas into outcomes
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Preferred qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with EHS digital solutions – development or management; for example, enterprise EHS platforms
- Working knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools; for example, Power BI
- Experience in data governance and data quality management
- Experience with lean principles and process improvement
- Certified Safety Professional or similar certification
