Bring energy, knowledge, innovation to carry out the following:
- Lead and Inspire: Guide, coach, and mentor a talented QC Microbiology team. You will foster a diverse and inclusive culture where everyone can thrive and grow their careers.
- Drive Excellence: Oversee all microbiological testing for our manufacturing processes, including in-process, release, and stability testing. This includes techniques like bioburden, endotoxin, environmental monitoring, and water for injection (WFI) testing.
- Shape Our Future: Help build a modern, tech-enabled laboratory. You will champion continuous improvement, explore new technologies, and implement efficient systems to enhance our operations.
- Collaborate and Solve: Work with teams across the site and our global network to solve problems and build our testing capabilities. You will lead investigations, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Uphold Quality: Represent the QC department during regulatory and internal inspections, ensuring our commitment to the highest quality standards.
What skills you will need:
In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:
- A degree or higher in Microbiology, Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Significant professional experience (at least 10 years), with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment.
- A strong working knowledge of the biotech industry, particularly in QC operations and regulatory requirements.
- The expertise to mentor your team on the microbiological methods used at our site.
- A passion for building inclusive teams and working effectively with people from all backgrounds.
