Are you ready to shape the future of digital innovation within our company? We're seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Operations Orchestration product team (OOPT). You'll be at the cutting edge of enhancing shopfloor operations management through Finite Scheduling and Manufacturing Productivity. Your expertise will be pivotal in developing and maintaining manufacturing process models, ensuring optimized operations and enhanced visibility across our manufacturing division network.
Your Core Responsibilities
- You will have the opportunity to develop and/or modify process models for Drug Substance, Drug Product, and Packaging operations using discrete event simulation.
- Provide technical support to drive process optimization analysis, including debottlenecking, capacity analyses, and what-if analysis for manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate with technical OOPT members for data analysis related to manufacturing system integrations and assist in debugging/testing of data interfaces using SQL.
- Deliver exceptional customer support for the RTMS platform, including troubleshooting, escalating, and resolving issues reported by users at various sites.
- Utilize agile tools such as Jira and Confluence, and methodologies like sprints, to deliver defined product increments effectively.
- Ensure delivery aligns with defined scope, time, and acceptance criteria, driving success in our manufacturing division.
Who You Are
You are ready if you have:
- Hold a B.S. in Science/Engineering or an equivalent technical field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in mathematical modeling and proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (e.g., C/C++, Matlab, Python, R, C#, Java).
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel to achieve desired outcomes.
- Exhibit excellent, proactive written communication and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a globally distributed team.
- Familiar with Agile Methodology and Continuous Improvement, fostering a Digital & Innovative mindset.
- Expertise in authoring and executing technical documentation following industry standards and methodologies (SDLC, AGILE).
- Possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a sense of ownership, enthusiasm, and innovation.
Nice to have, but not essential:
- Possess Process Manufacturing expertise, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Prior experience as an industrial engineer or simulation developer, especially in design engineering and/or A&E firms using discrete event simulation in the pharma industry is strongly preferred; experience as an automation/controls developer in pharma or an adjacent process industry is advantageous.
- Familiarity with manufacturing scheduling, discrete event simulation, finite state machines, and associated algorithms.
- Experienced in using SQL to query and analyze datasets, including metrics/KPI calculation.
- Knowledgeable about manufacturing systems such as MES, Pi, etc.
