The Executive Office invites applications for the position of Police Ombudsman for Northern Ireland.

The Police Ombudsman is responsible for the provision of an independent and impartial police complaints service in Northern Ireland and for providing strategic leadership to the office.
You will be instrumental in ensuring that public confidence in the office can be maintained and enhanced, while moving towards more effective contemporary policing oversight, focused on making a real difference in people’s lives.
With a significant public profile, we are seeking an individual with the vision to lead the organisation and develop constructive and effective stakeholder relationships to deliver a more effective contemporary police complaints system.
If you have a strong sense of public purpose and are invigorated by challenges this could be the role for you.
The appointment will be for a single non-renewable term of seven years or until the person appointed reaches age 70, whichever is the earlier. Remuneration for the position is currently £173,854 per annum (under review).
