About the position
Quality Matters is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Specialist to join our team in a dynamic research, data analysis, and community engagement role. The successful candidate will contribute to meaningful social research and consultancy projects, working across a range of stakeholders from community-based organisations to senior policymakers. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about social impact and development who wants to grow their skills in a collaborative, people-centred environment.
Role Expectations
What you will do:
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including designing data collection tools such as surveys and interview guides
- Undertake social impact measurement evaluation and consultancy with non-profits, social services, and NGOs
- Analyse data and synthesise findings into clear, accessible reports, strategies, and recommendations for clients
- Plan and facilitate stakeholder workshops, focus groups, and multi-stakeholder consultations
- Engage directly with community members and organisational partners to gather insights
- Maintain project records and support coordination across teams and partner organisations
Qualifications and Relevant Experience
Candidates must have the following experience:
- A postgraduate qualification in a relevant field such as development studies, social research, economics, or a related discipline
- Completed a Social Return on Investment practitioner training course or have equivalent experience undertaking social impact measurement research and/or consultancy in the non-profit sector
- Demonstrable experience working with non-profits organsiations, charities, and NGOs
- Demonstrable experience in qualitative research methods, including thematic analysis and stakeholder interviewing
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as STATA, R, or Excel, with experience working across both qualitative and quantitative methodologies
- Strong written communication skills with experience drafting reports, briefs, or similar documents for varied audiences
- Demonstrable experience facilitating workshops or community consultations in a professional or research setting
- Ability to engage sensitively, effectively, and in a trauma-informed way with diverse communities, including vulnerable groups
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines
- Fluency in English in terms of verbal and written communication
- Strong interpersonal communication and team working skills
- An interest in personal professional development
