Accommodation Supervisor required for busy Galway City Hotel
Customer care:
- To ensure all guests receive a genuine, warm, friendly, courteous welcome on arrival and during their stay from all Accommodation personnel
- To assist in achieving goals in relation to mystery audits, customer comment index
- To empower, encourage and promote employees to make on the spot guest satisfaction decisions
- To ensure that all staff are trained and fully aware of 100% guest satisfaction
- To ensure all guest Rooms and public areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards, promptly and efficiently
- To ensure all guest lost property is recorded and stored per SOP
Quality:
- To reflect and enhance the Hotels mission statement and objectives in all activities
- To ensure we always offer guests consistently high standards of quality through training and monitoring
- To assist in achieving annual awards and goals we set out to achieve
- To assist in developing the image of the Hotel as an excellent employer
- To ensure SOPs are up to date, in use and regularly reviewed within Department
- To assist in auditing department for service and quality and to assist in implementing strategies to improve results
Standards:
- To efficiently and effectively control your departmental operation
- To ensure all departmental staff are able to carry out their duties to the standards as laid down in the standard of performance manual
- To ensure agreed uniform standards are achieved throughout department. To assist in controlling issue and returns
- Ensure that the highest possible standard of personal hygiene, appearance, body language and conduct of employees is maintained by all employees in department
Training:
- To complete departmental action plans as per agreed standards and to encourage staff to be involved
- To carry out a regular review of departmental training needs in conjunction with departmental training plan and to assist in ensuring that all appropriate training is carried out
- To ensure appropriate plans are in place for departmental training and to help in measuring the effectiveness of this training
- To ensure all training is recorded in accordance with agreed procedures
- To attend training as required including use of chemicals and Manual Handling
- To ensure Induction training is carried out in accordance with Hotel procedures
Human Resources:
- To ensure the department is fully compliant with current employment legislation
- To ensure the department follows all policies and procedures in line with the Team Handbook
- To issue department rosters in a timely manner
- To complete payroll/TMS for your department on a weekly basis

SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS MUST HAVE
Excellent attention to detail.
Be a team player and have the ability to multi task.
Have previous experience in a similar role - ideally 18-24 months.
