We are recruiting an experienced Cluster Reservations Manager for 2 very well-known 4* Hotels in County Meath. As Cluster Reservations Manager you will take charge of the Reservations team and function for both properties working closely with Revenue and Sales Directors.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Role:
· Lead and supervise the reservations team, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations to ensure excellent customer service and efficient handling of reservation inquiries for both properties.
· Develop and implement effective reservation strategies to maximize room occupancy and revenue.
· Analyse booking patterns, demand forecasts, and market trends to adjust pricing and availability accordingly.
· Monitor room availability and manage room inventory to achieve optimal occupancy levels. Coordinate closely with the front office and housekeeping departments to ensure real-time updates on room status and availability.
· Manage the hotel's online distribution channels, including the hotel's website, online travel agencies (OTAs), and other booking platforms. Ensure rate parity and consistent presentation of the hotel's offerings across all channels.
· Coordinate and manage group reservations, working closely with the sales and events team to ensure smooth handling of group bookings and room blocks.
· Ensure that reservation agents provide prompt, professional, and courteous service to guests during the reservation process. Address any guest concerns or special requests to enhance the overall guest experience.
· Generate and analyse reservation reports to track performance metrics, including booking trends, conversion rates, and revenue generated. Use data insights to make informed decisions and improvements.
· Set and adjust room rates based on demand, occupancy levels, and competitor analysis. Collaborate with revenue management and sales teams to optimize pricing strategies.
· Conduct ongoing training sessions for reservation agents to improve their skills and knowledge of the hotel's offerings. Keep the team informed about new promotions, packages, and hotel updates.
· Ensure that the reservation system is effectively utilized and updated with accurate information. Troubleshoot any technical issues and liaise with the IT department or reservation system provider as needed.
· Maintain open and effective communication with other departments, including front office, sales,
marketing, and revenue management, to align reservation strategies with overall hotel goals.
Requirements for the role:
· Relevant qualifications or certifications in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, hotel management, revenue management, or a related field would be advantageous.
· Previous experience in reservations management or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
· Knowledge of reservation systems, online distribution channels, and revenue management principles.
· Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and team members effectively.
· Proficiency in computer systems, including reservation software, Opera Cloud, Avvio, Microsoft Office, and other relevant applications.
· Leadership qualities to motivate and manage a team of reservation agents.
· Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
· Flexibility to work on weekends, holidays, and shifts as needed by the hotel operation.
