Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ) is Ireland’s national public-service media organisation. The market within which RTÉ is operating is constantly evolving. In the next decade, RTÉ will transform into an innovative, IP-based public service media provider. RTÉ is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief People Officer to continue to drive transformation across the organisation through innovative HR Practices.
Reporting into the Director General of RTÉ, and as a key member of the RTÉ Leadership Team, the Chief People Officer influences business strategy and fosters a high-performance culture.
Their responsibilities include:
• Act as a strategic advisor to the Leadership Team on all people-related matters.
• Lead HR transformation initiatives aligned with RTÉ’s strategic goals.
• Partner with senior leadership to shape and execute strategic workforce planning.
• Maintain strong relationships with trade unions and employee representatives.
• Champion a values-driven culture that supports diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead a multi-disciplined team of HR professionals.
RTÉ welcome applications from candidates who possess:
• A minimum of 10 years’ in a senior leadership role in a complex, significantly sized organisation.
• A proven track record of successful HR strategy implementation and change management, analysis, and reporting.
• Proven commercial acumen and linking HR strategy to business strategies.
• A well-developed understanding of compensation, benefits, and reward structures.
• Solid understanding of all aspects of employment legislation and best practice.
• The ability to influence and challenge others at all levels in an organisation.
