Location: Multi Site (with Travel to Client Premises)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead and manage health, safety and environmental compliance across our multi-site operations. This is a hands-on management role, supporting both day-to-day compliance and long-term safety culture development within Samsic Facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement health & safety policies and ensure legal compliance.
- Manage risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Oversee safety documentation (RAMS, SSOW, SDS) and ergonomic assessments.
- Monitor training compliance and deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Lead fleet safety and driving compliance across the company’s vehicle fleet.
- Support the company’s environmental and sustainability goals.
- Ensure readiness for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 audits and maintain certifications.
- Manage a small team and work closely with managers and clients to drive a positive safety culture.
Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience in a health & safety leadership role, ideally across multiple sites
- Strong knowledge of Irish health & safety legislation and ISO standards
- Proven experience in incident management, risk control and compliance
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to travel to various company and client locations
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in sectors such as facilities management, data centres, cleanrooms or regulated environments
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent qualification
- Experience with ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) initiatives and reporting
- Familiarity with HIQA, GMP or other regulated standards
- Manual Handling and Safe Pass instructor certification (or oversight experience)
