Director, Procurement Centre of Excellence
A very exciting opportunity for a strategic leader who thrives in a dynamic environment & is passionate about driving continuous improvement & innovation in procurement practices.
POSITION SUMMARY:
- A key leadership role driving strategic procurement initiatives across N. USA , Canada, & EU.
- You will bring a deep understanding of procurement best practice, processes, strategic sourcing at a global level.
- Lead development & implement best practice, processes, optimise procurement ops, efficiency, & drive cost savings.
- Establish a Global Procurement Centre of Excellence (GPCoE) for (P2P), Global Sourcing, Spend Analytics & Reporting, plus Procurement Support function & managing BPO partners.
- Work with cross-functional teams globally to create World Class procurement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategy Development: Develop & implement best practice strategies aligned with global business objectives. Identify opps for process improvement, cost optimisation, & risk mitigation.
- Process Optimisation: Lead effort to streamline processes, inc. P2P & supplier performance evaluation.
- (GPCoE): Build & run a best-in-class (GPCoE) responsible for (P2P), Global Sourcing Desk across all categories, Spend Analytics & Reporting, Catalogue mgt., invoice control, e-auctions.
- Performance Metrics: Establish (KPIs) & to measure procurement performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: With int s/holders in cross-functional teams to drive & achieve strategic objectives.
- Talent Development: Build & develop a high-performing procurement team.
- Compliance & Risk Mgt - Ensure compliance internally; identify & mitigate risks, geopolitical factors.
- Technology Enablement: Evaluate & implement procurement tech & tools
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA: Business Admin, Supply Chain/ Master's
- 10+ years global exp. in procurement, ideally retail
- Strong global leadership skills across all functional teams & driving change.
- Expert in procurement best practices, processes, & tools.
- Exc negotiation, contract mgt., & SRM skills.
- Analytical mindset can interpret data, identify insights, & drive data-driven decisions.
- Super comms skills, influencing at all levels .
- Managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced global organisation
- Exp implementing procurement technologies - a must.
- REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven ability in change & optimisation in complex structure.
- Very strong commercially, negotiation & analytical skillset.
- Exc. leadership skills, networking & partnering.
- Balance competing priorities & deadlines; multitasking & organisational skills.
- Exc. comms skills, to a wide range of int/external s/holder groups.
- Advanced use of MS Office plus Ariba, etc.
- Self-driven, track record of delivery.
- Adaptable to global time-zones & extensive travel required.
