Supply Chain Manager

In this role you will: -

  • Report to the COO, & manage a function which overseas 60% of the entire revenue.
  • Implement & coordinate initiatives & management systems to control the supply chain from material sourcing to delivery on time to the production floor.
  • be responsible for building & maintaining an industry leading supply chain function whilst managing associated risk
  • work closely with other team members & key internal stakeholders in delivering supply chain activities that match the ambitions of the organisation.
  • manage a supply chain team of procurement/sourcing & supplier management (4), planning & forecasting (2), warehousing(12) and be comfortable managing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create & implement the overall supply chain strategy for the company.
  • Build a resilient Supply Chain that is robust, agile & has the ability to evolve in line with a growing business.
  • Collaborate with Sales & Operations to drive & extend a reach to Customer Service teams to ensure Order Cycle Times (OCT) are met.
  • Determine & measure key supply chain KPIs to ensure internal (inbound, materials, production) & outbound products are coherent with an effective & efficient Supply Chain operation.
  • Build deep supply chain knowledge assessing & tackling risks & new opportunities,
  • Identify & analyse bottlenecks delivering processes to ensure smooth flow.
  • Drive solutions for process. improvements forging relationships across other functions including production, sales, finance & quality.
  • Build & develop the supply chain team, instilling best practice & continuous improvement.

Experience & qualifications

  • At least 10 years' experience in supply chain, ideally in an industrial setting
  • Education to degree or master's level (or equivalent training & experience)
  • A min of 5 years' management experience leading a supply chain function demonstrating a track record driving performance improvement & KPI management.
  • Planning & Manufacturing experience
  • ERP software (ideally SAP)
  • Analytical & strategic
  • You can travel globally when needed.
