About Your New Role

As an Assistant Programme Manager, you will join a multidisciplinary team of development professionals to support the delivery of large-scale development and regeneration projects from initiation through to completion or exit. This role offers hands-on exposure to landmark development projects and provides a strong platform to build a career in programme and development management. The organisation is committed to supporting professional development through mentorship and continuous professional development (CPD).

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Supporting feasibility studies and viability assessments by identifying development opportunities and constraints

  • Contributing to development strategies and associated investment cases, including preparation of Board and Committee approval documentation

  • Supporting the appointment and management of legal agreements, consultant appointments, and contracts

  • Coordinating inputs across internal and external project teams and stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of project workstreams

  • Appointing and managing professional consultants and design teams from a technical, programme, and budgetary perspective

  • Managing project documentation including contracts, reports, programmes, budgets, registers, and trackers

  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

What You Will Need

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • A recognised technical or degree-level qualification in a related discipline, with a commitment to ongoing professional development

  • At least 2 years’ relevant post-qualification experience

  • Strong project or development management skills, with experience in planning processes and enabling or infrastructure projects advantageous

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a structured project environment

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing and presenting reports

  • Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills, including the ability to negotiate while maintaining positive relationships

  • Understanding of the planning system, construction principles, build ability, and value engineering advantageous

What You Will Get

In return, you will receive:

  • A permanent, full-time role with exposure to landmark national housing and regeneration projects

  • Hands-on experience across large-scale development and regeneration initiatives

  • Strong mentorship and structured career development opportunities

  • Continuous professional development (CPD) support

  • A collaborative, values-driven organisational culture

  • The opportunity to make a meaningful social impact through your work
