Our client is a leading mechanical and electrical contractor based in Dublin with a turnover of over €70 Million +. They work on a wide variety of projects that include commercial, residential, industrial, healthcare and data centres. The company has recently embarked on a period of significant growth and strategic development.  The company have a great reputation in the market, working with some of the leading tier one main contractors on multimillion euro mechanical packages.
About Your New Job
As the  BIM Co-ordinator, you will:

  • Use Building Information Modelling (BIM) software to produce collaborative 3D models and associated drawings.
  • Liaise with BIM Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, and Project Supervisor.
  • Input model elements with required detail (graphic & data).
  • Monitor and check clashes, producing weekly clash reports.
  • Coordinate and monitor incoming/shared models.
  • Lead weekly coordination meetings.
  • Produce images and drawings as required by the Project Manager.
  • Engage in BIM modelling and creation using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Coordinate mechanical and electrical elements and asset data.
  • Produce COBie data, as-built drawings, and the Asset Information Model.
  • Deliver BIM on both live and tender projects.
  • Produce AutoCAD mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • Create images for reports using BIM renders.
  • Adhere to the company’s Safety Statement and Quality Health and Safety management system.

What Skills You Need
Mechanical/Electrical trade background is an advantage.
Excellent IT skills, including Revit, Navisworks, MS Office, etc.
Excellent communication and organization skills.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in BIM/Revit/Navisworks.
Experience in M&E services coordination.
Ability to work both individually and as part of a multi-functional team.
Proven ability to problem solve and resolve coordination issues.
Experience with point cloud data is advantageous.
