Role Purpose
The primary purpose of this role is to provide general administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Policy, Research & Strategy Division. As part of the Division’s Policy teams, you will help organise documentation, support project workflows, and assist with day-to-day operations. This role offers an excellent introduction to the inner workings of policy and strategy, providing the opportunity to develop practical skills and contribute to meaningful work. Candidates are advised that this will include supporting work on sensitive subject matters relating to online safety and illegal online content. 

About the Division
The Policy, Research & Strategy Division ensures our client has a strong understanding of how traditional and online media impact the rights, interests, and welfare of citizens. It works to reflect these interests in the rules that govern broadcasters and online services, and in how those rules are enforced.
The Division’s Policy teams’ work covers a wide range of online safety issues, including illegal harms, the protection of children and vulnerable adults, safeguarding democracy and fundamental rights, and developing codes and standards for media services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing general administrative assistance, including preparing correspondence and assisting with organising, filing and recording documentation;
  • Assisting in the implementation of operational work activities, supporting managers and other colleagues;
  • Data and file management, in line with our client's policies and requirements;
  • Organising meetings and taking meeting minutes;
  • Processing and handling queries from stakeholder groups;
  • Organising travel arrangements for team members;
  • Collating data/information for reporting, and report-writing

Essential Criteria

  • Relevant clerical/administration/customer service experience;
  • Effective organisational and time-management skills;
  • Good attention to detail;
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective at prioritising and completing work to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams;


Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in the Irish public sector, particularly in a regulatory environment;
  • Fluency in or a working knowledge of the Irish language.


Benefits, Package & Pay

  • This position is offered on a Permanent basis.  
  • Full time, 35 hrs per week
  • Annual Leave: 22 days per annum
  • The role will be a hybrid role combining home and office working. Our client's current hybrid policy is 2 days in the office.
  • Our client's office is located at One Shelbourne Buildings, Shelbourne Road, Dublin 4, D04 NP20.

  • This position is graded at the Clerical Officer scale.
  • Successful candidates will be appointed on the first point of the scale.
