About Your New Job
As the Electrical PIR Tester, you will:
- Work on a programme of works across the East Midlands region (Dublin, Meath, Westmeath, Louth, Wicklow, Cavan), carrying out Periodic Inspection and Reporting (PIR) on a range of electrical installations.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings, and complete electrical testing in line with ETCI IS10101 regulations and relevant codes of practice.
- Complete all associated test paperwork, issue progress reports and upload test reports via tablet/laptop.
- Work under the direction of a Programme Manager while managing your own time and workload to meet a defined schedule of works.
What Skills You Need
- Trade-qualified Electrician or E&I technician; QC qualification/experience is a strong advantage.
- 5+ years’ experience within the electrical industry, ideally with exposure to water/wastewater or similar heavy industrial environments.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and testing principles, with very good ability to read schematics and produce inspection reports; up-to-date knowledge of ETCI IS10101 and H&S guidelines.
- Full clean driving licence, Safe Pass and Manual Handling certificate; strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
