About Your New Job
As the Heavy Machinery Service & Maintenance Lead, you will supervise a small team while inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy machinery and equipment across the site. This is a hands-on role that combines leadership with technical expertise. Key responsibilities include:

• Conduct regular inspections of machinery to identify mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic issues and perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance.

• Diagnose complex faults and carry out repairs, replacements, and adjustments using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.

• Lead, coach, and mentor junior mechanics and apprentices, sharing knowledge to develop team capability.

• Collaborate with production teams to understand machinery-related issues and implement timely, effective solutions.

• Assist with planning maintenance schedules, managing spare parts inventory, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices.

What Skills You Need

• Proven experience as a heavy machinery mechanic, with expertise across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.

• Strong leadership skills with experience supervising and mentoring a small team.

• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
