HR Manager, Cork
About Your New Employer:
Working with a well established engineering company who are actively looking to hire a HR Manager. You will be reporting to the Finance Director and working closely with the Operations Director and the Senior Leadership Team. He/ she needs to be strategic, to bring the HR function forward and ops-focused, with a very practical and hands-on approach. Delivering day-to-day HR operations exceptionally well, driving efficiencies, continuing to develop practical processes, and continuing to build and support a committed HR team.
About Your New Role:
- Define the strategic direction and priorities of the HR function
- Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team to consistently deliver high-impact
- Deliver regular HR analytics and workforce reports to the Senior Leadership Team
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of core HR services, including recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, performance management, HRIS administration, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, employee relations, compliance, and offboarding.
- Lead the continuous review and enhancement of HR policies, procedures, and processes
- Manage property operations for 10 company-managed rental properties, including lease administration, maintenance coordination, and tenant relationship management.
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex or high-risk employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions, grievance cases, and performance capability matters.
- Provide clear, people-focused guidance to employees and managers on a wide range of HR-related topics.
- Ensure HR practices remain fully compliant with employment legislation, Sectoral Employment Orders (SEOs), industry pay standards, and relevant regulations.
- Liaise with client-appointed auditors during employment compliance audits
- Support change management initiatives by contributing to workforce planning, role redesign, and performance improvement strategies.
- Oversee GDPR compliance for all employee data managed within the HR function.
What Skills You Need:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in human resources
- Hold current CIPD membership.
- Have a minimum of 5 years’ broad HR experience
- Track record of managing employee relations matters
- In-depth understanding of Irish labour law, employment regulations, and HR compliance standards.
- Proven leadership and team development skills, with experience coaching and supporting HR team members.
