Manufacturing Equipment Technician

Shift: 15:30pm – 12:00am (Monday – Thursday) and 14:15pm – 20:15pm (Friday) 39 hours weekly – Shift Premium 20%

About Your New Job

  • Take ownership of equipment reliability, aiming for zero downtime through proactive management.
  • Maintain a structured approach to constantly enhance equipment and process performance.
  • Evaluate equipment and process inputs/outputs to ensure optimal product performance, taking preemptive actions to maintain uptime and yield.
  • Complete PMs on time, suggesting improvements to ensure equipment operates at peak performance.
  • Identify and implement jigs/fixtures to improve workstation efficiency and product yield, supported by data-driven analysis.
  • Ensure tooling is available and in optimal working order, maintaining a robust process for consumable equipment spares.
  • Assist in onboarding new technicians, ensuring they are fully competent in manufacturing processes.
  • Be proficient in all manufacturing steps, identifying Accept and Reject samples, and understanding product functionality.
  • Continuously review manufacturing processes for proper application of work methods and equipment settings.
  • Communicate promptly and clearly with the Line Lead and Line Support Technician regarding equipment and process issues, providing data-driven resolution plans.
  • Support equipment introduction and maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation.

What Skills You Need

  • Educational Background: Level 6 degree or above in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering).
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in a technical role in a similar field, with experience in automated equipment maintenance being advantageous.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to troubleshoot complex machine faults, with experience in electrical and pneumatic systems.
  • Personal Attributes: Highly motivated, strong work ethic, excellent time management, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Quality Commitment: Strong commitment to quality, safety, and GMP standards.
