About your new company

We are currently working with a well renowned mechanical contractor that are based in North Dublin. The company have a turnover in excess of €30 million and take pride in developing their staff. They have a busy orderbook for the next two years and are looking to add a mechanical estimator to their team to support their estimating manager.

Your new role

Mechanical Estimator, you will be actively involved in the tendering process, securing desired projects, and negotiating discounts with suppliers and sub-contractors. Your role will include accurately quantifying materials, plant, and labour needs for assigned projects, ensuring all supply-related enquiries are addressed satisfactorily. You will develop design solutions, including sketches, drawings, preliminary sizing of plant and equipment, and take-offs.

What you need

You will have experience working in an estimating, quality surveying or technical sales role. You will need a knowledge of mechanical systems that included ventilation, air-conditioning or plumbing. You will come from an engineering or trade background and will need to have experience in pricing projects.

What's on offer

The successful candidate will be paid a salary of €45,000 - €55,000 along with benefits. The role will have a clear defined structure and you will get excellent support from the estimation manager.
