About Your New Job as R&D Scientist II:
- As an R&D Scientist, you will research new materials technologies to achieve cost reductions, performance improvements, capacity increases, and enable the development of new products.
- Provide chemical and polymeric materials support to refine existing products and troubleshoot problems with current processes.
- Work with internal and external customers to develop necessary materials, evaluate work results, analyze variances, and recommend actions.
- Supervise engineers/technicians, apply standard technical techniques, and develop test methods to verify hypotheses of chemical and materials technologies.
- Independently handle standard projects, receive instructions on complex features, and work on special projects, including writing ECNs and creating prototypes.
What Skills You Need For R&D Scientist II:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related technical field.
- 2-3 years of related experience in a similar role.
- Ability to apply analytical skills and scientific technical principles in problem-solving and development.
- Demonstrated skills in spreadsheets, word processing, databases, and other applicable software programs.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively as a team member.
