About Your New Job

This job is a senior role with a path to leading the internal finance function for the business, however it is a ‘hands on’ role so the successful candidate must be happy with the accounts prep aspect (And have full A-Z accounts prep experience).

• Ensure Compliance: Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
• Journal Entries and Ledger Operations: Prepare journal entries and complete general ledger operations.
• Expense Reports and Monthly Closings: Review expense reports for accuracy and compliance, and assist with monthly closings and preparation of monthly reports.
• Account Reconciliation and Analysis: Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts, prepare analysis of accounts as requested, and oversee accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses.
• Financial Controls and Reporting: Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures, compile information for year-end and mid-year budgets, and prepare variance analysis.

What Skills You Need

• Accounting Principles: Strong understanding of accounting principles, proficient in GAAP and IFRS.
• Financial Statements: Ability to prepare accurate financial statements.
• Reconciliation Skills: Skilled in bank, account, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to identify financial discrepancies.
• Accuracy and Software Proficiency: High level of accuracy in accounting computations, proficient in accounting software.
• Communication: Clear and concise communication for reporting.
