Senior Business Development Underwriter-Dublin

My client, a leading insurance company are looking to recruit a Senior Business Development Underwriter for their central Dublin office (2 days in the office and 3 days remote).The Senior Business Development Underwriter plays a key role within the Underwriting team, focusing on driving business growth and supporting the delivery of strategic underwriting objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with the Commercial Underwriting Manager and Head of Business Development to deliver business growth plans and broker development
• Developing relationships with key broker partners.
• Managing new business enquiries from submission to quote and bind.
• Assessing complex risks and negotiating terms.
• Supporting other underwriting projects as needed

Requirements for the role:

• CIP Qualified is essential or ACII qualification is desirable. 
• Relevant experience across both Property and Liability classes.
• Experience in underwriting business development or trading underwriting.
• Deep knowledge of underwriting technical requirements, regulatory and operational requirements related to insurance companies.

Competitive base salary €75K-85K with annual review, benefits and performance related bonus up to 15% and the opportunity to work with a well-established and progressive company.
