I'm currently looking for a Senior Chemist to join a leading medical device company in Galway. This is a 12-month contract.

About Your New Job as a Senior Chemist 

• Act as the subject matter expert and provide oversight for critical NPD areas, including Dissolution/Elution (USP APPII/USP APPVII), Liquid/Gas Chromatography, Analytical test method development.
• Analytical test method validation.
• Work independently to plan and schedule activities to meet project timelines.
• Author technical reports and validation documents.
• Provide guidance and communicate updates to cross-functional and cross-site teams.
• Support laboratory investigations to determine root cause and implement meaningful corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement projects.
• Support the training of new colleagues.
• Support internal and external audit programs.
• Assist with regulatory submissions.

What Skills You Need as a Senior Chemist 

• Expertise in Dissolution/Elution (USP APPII/USP APPVII), Liquid/Gas Chromatography, Analytical test method development, and validation.
• Ability to work independently and manage project timelines effectively.
• Strong technical writing skills for authoring reports and validation documents.
• Excellent communication skills to provide guidance and updates to teams.
• Experience in laboratory investigations and implementing corrective actions.
• Proven track record in driving continuous improvement projects.
• Experience in training and supporting colleagues.
• Familiarity with regulatory submission processes.
