  • A well-established and growing FMCG food manufacturing business supplying the Irish and European retail market.
  • Strong focus on innovation, quality, and continuous improvement, with a collaborative cross-functional culture.
  • A company that invests in product development, encourages ownership, and offers long-term career progression within technical and innovation teams.

About Your New Job

As a Senior Food Technologist, you will play a key role in developing and launching branded and private-label food products for the Irish and European retail markets. Working closely with Technical, Production, and Commercial teams, you will lead projects from initial concept through to successful commercial launch.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead NPD and EPD projects through the full Stage-Gate process, from concept to market launch.
  • Coordinate day-to-day NPD activities, including line extensions, product renovation, and packaging or format changes.
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, quality standards, and all relevant legislation at every stage of product development.
  • Manage project plans, timelines, and critical paths, providing regular progress updates to key stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Innovation function, contributing to efficient and cost-effective product development.
  • Liaise with key retail customers, present NPD projects at customer meetings, and resolve technical or project-related issues as they arise.

What Skills You Need

  • Third-level degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience in an FMCG or food manufacturing environment, ideally within NPD, Technical, or Quality roles.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and quality systems, including BRC, HACCP, and allergen management.
  • Experience with supplier and product selection, product optimisation, and cross-functional project work.
  • Ability to apply technical knowledge in a commercial, fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What’s on Offer

  • An opportunity to take ownership of high-impact NPD projects with real visibility across the business.
  • Supportive team environment with ongoing training, development, and clear career progression within technical and innovation functions.
