Strategic Sourcing Specialist – Contingent Labor

Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Specialist 

Location: Parkmore, Galway

Hybrid working of 1 days per week on site and 4 days working from home

This is a 12 month contract initially due to expansion of the existing team.

This Medical Device client is based in over 155+ countries, been present in Ireland since 1999. They have an excellent local reputation.

This position will have daily interaction with suppliers and supplier relationship management is a critical responsibility. Candidates must be eligible to live and work in Ireland and be fluent in English.

About Your New Job

• Manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for assigned contingent labor categories.
• Respond to and resolve operational issues, escalating to Program Leaders as needed.
• Understand program goals and provide recommendations to hiring managers based on industry knowledge and best practices.
• Support and train hiring managers on Procure-to-Pay processes related to contingent workers.
• Facilitate Q&A sessions between suppliers and hiring managers regarding requisitions.
• Negotiate rates with suppliers to ensure fair market pricing using a competitive bid program model.
• Oversee the Onboarding and Offboarding process, including assignment changes (extensions, transfers, backfills, etc.).

What Skills You Need

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a similar field
• Experienced within staffing, recruitment or contingent workforce management
• Proven demonstrated results producing significant cost savings/value in contracting
• Possessing a CCWP (Certified Contingent Workforce Professional) or similar a recruiting certification 
• Familiarity with SAP Fieldglass is desirable
• Previous experience and/or expertise with multiple indirect commodities 
• Strong communication skills 
• Strong analytical skills 
• Project management experience 
• Business Proficiency in a second European Language
